Spyware, Viruses, Trojans and Simplified Removal

Many people each day are infected with numerous forms of Virii including Spyware, Malware, Trojans, Greyware, etc. All of these programs will infest your computer and cause a variety of problems. Some indications that you might be infected are: -Slowing and Bogging down of your computer
-Slowing of internet connection
-Random Adds popping up on your computer
-Your home page gets changed and you cannot change it back
-You get redirected to website offering removal software that you can purchase
-You have lost your administrative rights
-You cannot access your Task Manager There are many symptoms that can be left by infectious programs. Those are just a few of the most common ones. Alot of these programs are easily installed on your computer without you even knowing about it! Some of the methods used to infect a pc can even be implimented by clicking on a link, opening up websites, and downloading and running applications. The reason being is that people have learned how to get past (exploit) certain security features on your web browser. By doing this, your web browser treats it as if it were not a threat and lets it onto your computer. Here is how I get rid of malicious programs that are on my clients computers. 1. First, make sure your system restore points are turned on! They must be on! 2. Look up a program called CCleaner.exe and download it. Install it, and run it! This program will clean up any and all temporary files on your computer and make the next work much faster. The link to CCleaner will be provided later. 3. Next, you will need to download a program called Malwarebytes. This program will scan, detect, and remove any and all malicious programs on your computer. It is a great program and it is free just like CCleaner. -Install it, let it automatically update it's database, then run a 'Quick Scan'.
-This will do a scan on your PC and find the problems that are affecting your computer.
-Now all you have to do is select the option to Remove the Selected files.
-The program will remove all of the malicious programs, registry information pertaining to them, memory information pertaining to them, and any stored points relating to the virii. 4. Once everything is removed you will usually be asked to restart your computer. This needs to be done to make sure everything that the virii did are wiped out of memory and registry so they will not come back. By using this method I am 100% positive that you will come out with a clean computer that performs faster better! This is the same method I use on my clients computers and it is the fastest, and safest way. Just remember that the time it takes to run the programs will vary depending on your computer, and how much data your computer has. That is why we run CCleaner first, because it will clean out all of the junk. I hope you found this intel useful and I hope you can use it for future reference. |

Awesome intel. The malware epidemic just keeps on spreading and this intel is timely and very well written. My relatives on Windows are always having problems and the solutions they go for are usually a lot more complicated than this. I often end up having to help them reinstall the operating system. Next time someone on Windows asks for my help I will just point them to this intel.

Excellent, clear & precise. Thank you for the malwarebytes info. I was lucky enough to have the CCleaner added to my computer by the pc doctor and use it at least three times a day but I still have a nasty little spy that I can't find (I am a bit technically challenged) so hope this will do it.
