Bad experience with a hosting company By Don Toivola of Morphdude.com My name is Don Toivola and I would like to share with you my experiences with RCTHost.com. First off, RCTHost was a web hosting company that went under at the beginning of 2009. I used to use them in 2004-2006 for some of my hosting needs and had no complaints. That is, until I referred one of my cliets there to purchase hosting in 2008. Right from the start neither my client nor myself could login to the cpanel administration to upload or configure his website. My client emialed RCTHost several times over the course of a week with no response. RCTHost did not have a telephone number posted on their website anymore either. After a week I decided to email RCTHost on my clients behalf. I got a response within a few hours stating that cpanel is up and it works for them. We tried to login to their cpanel several times on several different computers from different ISP's and from different states. Still nothing! Out of all our frustration we could never get ahold of RCTHost again. My client's website was locked because we could not login to change the Domain Name Server (DNS) settings to point it to a different host. Two months later he recieved an email from RCTHost stating that they were going out of business and to find new hosting for his site within the next month. Hosting was paid for a year upfront and we were never able to login through cpanel or FTP. I ate the year hosting that we did not recieve and reimbursed my client since I referred him there to begin with. Still no contact with them and my hosting along with my money has vanished.
